Social Night Padjadjaran MUN 2019: Building Connection and Relieving Fatigue

The delegates, journalists and chairs together during the Social Night.

After a full day of committee session, the second day of Padjadjaran MUN 2019 was continued with the Social Night, which took place in INFINITE Resto and Lounge, located in the Crowne Plaza Bandung (8/4). Started at 10 PM, all the delegate, journalists and chairs came with high enthusiasm into the bar.

A UNSC delegate Michael admitted that the first day of committee session was interesting and challenging. Soon afterward, five talented dancers of HI-Move took on the stage performing modern dance in front of the audience. Everyone looked so exhilarated to watch the performance, and came forward to dance as the music was comfortable and ‘hot’.

The next agenda was the performance of the DJ group known as Sick as Monk. They served the audience classical music in the '90s, such as Chrisye – Anak Sekolah, Las Ketchup – Asereje, Michael Jackson – Black and White, and ME – Inikah Cinta. As the night went on, the music continued with the newer songs, such as Rihanna – Work, DJ Snake ft. Major Lazer – Lean On, Bruno Mars – 24K Magic, etc.

Bob Marley’s saying, “One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain,” seemed relatable to describe last night’s atmosphere. Everyone was enjoying the performance while drinking and some even started a friendly conversation.

The agenda was closed with Bruno Mars’s song entitled “Versace on the Floor”. From all the agendas on the 2nd day of their PadMUN journey, the delegates, journalists, and chairs really enjoyed the vibes and relieved their stress here.

We wish all the delegates and journalists the best of luck for the next day in practicing diplomacy to find the best resolution to solve the world crises! (NewsArt/Yasmin Nur Habibah)
